The law of attraction is the best framework for goal setting. Envisioning something that you want, and working every day to get it. But most have the equation backward. They think if they do, they will be, then they will have. Or worst yet – if they have, then they will do and then they can be. But the perfect equation for achieving everything in your life is Be – Do – Have.

BE the person who will DO the things to HAVE a life. That is the perfect equation to achieve anything you want.

Let’s break down why – and let’s start with the consciousness levels:

Having is the lowest state of consciousness. People identify themselves with what they ‘have’ in their life. There materials possessions such as money, material needs, relationships, and status symbols. They think they are these things, but these things are just that: Things. They actually don’t do anything for you to accept just appear in your life.

Doing is the average state of consciousness. In this state, we identify ourselves with what we do. We base our identity on our actions. At this level, we use hard work, effort, and will power to fulfill ourselves. Doing is the action – the process – which is the work – but also not the full picture.

Being is the highest state of consciousness. Thoughts at this level tend to manifest rapidly. The hallmark of this level is desirableness. There is no need to want anything because everything in our lives manifests effortlessly without any conscious will or effort. All based off of what we have become. Being is everything – it’s the true identity in our life instead of just thinking that the ‘things’ are what identifies us. Being is the true state of consciousness.

Now that we know the levels of consciousness – let’s explore the order of why these are important. If you mix these up in all the possibilities there essentially 3 ways to flow this.

HAVE – DO – BE

DO – BE – HAVE

BE – DO – HAVE

Let’s now look at each equation in-depth to see why there is only one true answer here.

HAVE – DO – BE assumes you need to have the thing, to do the things, to be the things. Meaning – if you want to be a millionaire, you have to have a million dollars before you are going to do the millionaire things that actually make you a millionaire. There are many people who think this way. It isn’t until they have the thing that then they will be able to do the things to be the thing. They need personal possession – the have – the lowest form of consciousness before they start to act. But here is the kicker: You won’t ever HAVE the thing unless you DO the thing. So to think you are going to HAVE the thing before you DO the thing is absolutely absurd – and based on sheer luck for those people who ever get it. And even if you happen to get it – you will lose it – because you aren’t in the right mindset (BE) to keep it. This is why some people who win the lottery go broke again. Sure – they got they HAVE – but the never did the DO to BE, and hence – go back to who is broke.

DO – BE – HAVE is the next one, which is better than HAVE – DO – BE, but still missing the mark. The DO – BE – HAVE are those people who think they can work until they have whatever they want. This use to be my own mindset. I use to think if I just DID enough – I could have whatever I wanted. If I just worked a little bit harder, all my dreams would come true. Isn’t that the American Dream? Work hard until you have what you want? If I just DID enough, I would BE who I needed to be, and then I would HAve everything I ever wanted. And it worked – for the most part. Except I never kept what I earned because DOING doesn’t mean you are BEING the person you need to HAVE the things. Here is a real-world example: When I was 25, I made a goal to make 6 figures by the time I was 30. I was given an opportunity to get into sales, and wouldn’t you know it – I made 6 figures the year I turned 30 for my first time. But it wasn’t easy. I was working close to 60 hours a week, traveling 15 days a month, including weekends – and was more stressed than I have ever been. I was DOING the things to HAVE the thing, but the missing piece – BEING – wasn’t there. Subsequently – the next 2 years I was back down below 6 figures because I wasn’t BEING the person I need to be. That is the issue – you can DO the work – but if you aren’t ready to BE the person – you aren’t going to HAVE the thing – and just because you are DOING the work – doesn’t mean you doing the BE work.

BE – DO – HAVE is the golden ticket. If you BE the person that you need to be, you will automatically DO the things that are needed (which now are easy) and then you will HAVE everything you need. My issue with my 6-figure story is I wasn’t BEING the sales professional who earns 6 figures. I wasn’t ready to BE that person. I hated the long hours, the cold calls, the travels – pretty much all of it. So while I did HAVe what I wanted, it was a huge cost. It wasn’t until I finally truly BECAME the person who was ready to do that – and then I was able to DO that to HAVE that. Long hours were shortened, travel was now a fun experience, cold calls mean making more connections. Once I was able to BE the person – everything to DO just came naturally, and after that – I HAD everything. You have to change the inside (BE) in order to change the outside (DO) before you can HAVE.

As you move forward with your goal setting, your manifesting, or whatever you call achieving everything that you want in life – make sure you focus on the right equation to achieve it. Before you can HAVE it – you need to DO it – and before you DO it – you need to BE it.

You need to BE it. You need to emulate all the factors of the person who will do the things to have things. Once you master that – there is literally no limit to achieving whatever you want.

But you have to BE first.

Gratitude is one of the most powerful emotions to set your soul on fire. How to practice gratitude is easy, but – like anything else – you have to practice it.

Gratitude is defined as “the state of being grateful“. Being in a state is defined as “mode or condition of being”

The condition of being grateful – that is what we are looking for when we practice gratitude.

It isn’t just enough to say “I am thankful for my life”. We all are. If you truly want to get into a state of gratefulness, you need to develop the condition of being grateful.

Gratitude is a whole-body feeling. As the thought of what you are grateful comes into the mind, all the senses should fire as well, fully engulfing you in that state of gratefulness. You should feel it vibrating throughout your entire body.

How to Practice Gratitude

When practicing gratitude, it is very similar to a practice of meditation in the sense you calm your mind, get into a new state, and be in that moment. And be with all your being.

It’s hard to do the first time out. That is what, like meditation or yoga, it is called a practice. The more you do it, the better you get. The better you get, the deeper into the practice you go. The deeper you go, the more you want to do it.

Here is my daily (usually in the mornings after my kids are off at school) practice that I go through.

  1. Find a quiet, relaxing spot. My spot is outside on our deck. This shady spot has the perfect combination of peacefulness, nature-filled sounds of birds and wind through the trees, and just enough of that morning coolness to really put me into a state of relaxation. Find YOUR spot. Don’t pick a spot that stress usually comes from (office, kitchen, etc). Try to get outside, or at least – find a place inside where you know you can relax.
  2. Keep the phone far away from you. You need to be the moment. Every beep, ping, updated that comes from your phone is a hit of stress, which you are trying to rid your body of. If you are outside – keep it inside. And take off your Apple Watch too – any sort of distraction.
  3. Get into a relaxed state. This one has to be unique to you. Whatever you do to relax, do this here. Some take deep breathes. Some just need to settle for a moment. Some do a whole-body relaxation exercise. Others (like me) find that just sitting in the silence with my morning coffee does the trick. Whatever it is for you – you do you.
  4. Find a grateful moment. Once you are relaxed, think about the past 24 hours. If you are doing this in the morning, this essentially is yesterday. If you are doing this at night, it is the day you just had. Think of a moment in the past 24 hours that you are grateful. Maybe something good happened at work. Maybe you had a moment with your spouse that made you realize what you fell in love with her. Maybe you had a moment with your kids. Maybe you came across some money. Maybe something manifested into your life. Whatever it is – bring it to mind. Only one thing – sometimes we spend too much of this practice thinking of multiple – just pick one.
  5. Get into the state of gratefulness. Experience that moment again. Fully get into like you are playing it over again. Feel all the feelings – what are you seeing, feeling, hearing, smelling, tasting. Get it all in. You should feel a lightness being in this state. A smile will come over you. Get into this state – and just be.
  6. State the gratefulness. Here is something I like to do which really frames up this exercise. State your gratefulness. As you are experiencing that state, once you get into the state and are fully there, state out loud why this moment is a gratitude moment for you. This anchors the moment, telling your mind to look out for these moments because of the reason you stated.
  7. Repeat. Depending on how much time you have to do this exercise, do it again. Think of another moment in the past 24 hours, or extend it to the past week, or the past month. And get back into that state with another memory. And just keep on repeating.

Ideally, you want to do this as long as you can as often as you can. Life has to move on, so you cannot do this all day. But if you have 5 minutes, do one. If you have 30 minutes, get a few more in. If you can do this twice a day – great! If you can squeeze your 5 minutes in after your lunch break – do it!

Why is Gratitude Important?

As we go through life, working our way forward, manifesting a constant better life, improving ourselves, and the world we live in, it is very easy to get caught up in only what we want, what we are working toward, and what we are doing to get to the next level. Gratitude brings us back to nowhere – this moment, which is the most important moment you have because it is the only moment you have. Yesterday is gone, tomorrow is not here yet. You have NOW.

It reminds us that, although we are working towards more, we have blessings now in our life. We have joyous and happy moments. We have pieces being put together NOW as we work with the universe to bring the other pieces of our manifestations into our lives. That is why it is important. It keeps us grounded and focused in the moment, which is the best place to be.

focus on your missionI am a firm believer in focusing on your mission. When you focus on your mission in life, you can reset yourself back to your goals and the vibrations it takes you to get there.

Without this, you will see every shiny object and run toward that as the next thing you need in your life, which isn’t for you. It is for your ego. Focus on your mission for you, and watch the world fall into place.

We all are guilty of this – whether you care to admit it or not. You are cruising along, vibin’ high, minding your business when you check Instagram, and you start minding other people’s business. Next thing you know, you are worrying about why they are having that experience, thing, or vibration and you aren’t. And BAM – you are off your vibes.

Every second you spend thinking about someone else’s vibrations, what they have, what they are doing, how they are living, is a second you stop your own vibration. You lower your own vibration.

A great way to counterbalance this is to go back to your mission in your life – your written script on you living your best life.

Which means you need to have a mission in the first place.

Which means you need to understand what YOU want in life.

And when you do this – sure, you make get your focus taken away temporarily, but you will be able to go back to your own mission – your own dreams and aspirations on how YOU want to live – and quickly move past the squirrel effect of what everyone else is doing.

Here is how to focus on your mission:

FOCUS ON YOUR MISSION

Step 1: Write your mission statement out. I like to call it a mission statement. You can call it your dream life, your perfect day, whatever language you need to use. But – what this is – is every single goal, desire, manifestation, routine, everything you want in life, culminated into a single document (yes – you write this down). This is your highest self. What are you doing, seeing, experiences, earning, living for, everything? Remember – this is your highest version of yourself – your highest vibration – so don’t get caught up in where you are now, or a timeline. Just spend some time thinking about how you want to live – and write it down.

Step 2: Carry your mission statement with you. If you wrote it in a notebook – great. Have that notebook on you. If you typed in (like I do into Evernote) that is great too – print out that page, fold it up and carry it with you at all times.

Step 3: Read it 2x daily. I like to read mine before starting work, and after work. This resets my brain on my desires. Find your best time – and read it – out loud. Read also when you feel yourself starting to focus on what other people are doing to bring yourself back to your own truth. But don’t just read it – visualize it. An experience that day – an experience that life. Feel the emotions, see the weather – the sensations that go along with it.

Step 4: Adjust as needed. With your mission statement being your highest vibe – it is important to know that you are not stuck on that vibration. You can change. Watch how you feel when reading it. If you find yourself not truly feeling like this is you, adjust it. Edit it. Add to it. Take things away. Maybe you see yourself living in the hustle and bustle of the big city, but then take a trip to the Caribbean and realize the island life is for you – change it! This is your highest you and that highest you can change.

Step 5: Create a habit. This should be a habit. Reading and adjusting. Adjusting and reading. This should be second nature to you. Because once you know what your mission is, and it is still instilled in you there is no pushing you off of it, you start naturally going into the directions of your mission. The universe starts providing the way, the little messages, opportunity, synchronicities all of it will start appearing.

Still, need help? Here is my current version of my mission statement:

I wake up from a peaceful night’s rest in my peaceful and serene bedroom at 6a. I take a moment, thank the universe for another glorious day to live my best life. I get up, take a pee, get dressed in my workout gear, and head out to make breakfast / lunches for my boys. I grab my first cup of coffee, and then go wake the boys up. Everyone gets dressed, we eat breakfast, and we all depart the house at 6:50a. I get the honor of taking my boys to school. After drop off, I come home, get a workout out in in our home gym. After that, I grab another cup of coffee, and head to my office to start my work day which consists of running my own 7-figure online businesses. Each day is different, between writing blog posts, record podcast, schedule podcasts, create courses, create social media posts, everything to drive revenue from my online business. I usually do this from 830a till about 12p, where I then make a healthy lunch, get a quick jacuzzi sesh in to recovery from the morning workout, shower, get dress again – this time regular ol clothes, and work again from 1p till 3p. Once pick up is done, we come home and usually play int he back yard for an hour till mom gets back home at 4p. We cook dinner while the kids do some homework, we eat, then we have family time, kids shower, tv/electronic time, then off to bed for the kids, usually around 7p. My wife and I then usually go to the office and get more work done, until we unwind around 9 or 10 with a TV show, then I read in bed, before falling asleep by 10 or 11p.

This is my perfect day. Freedom to do what I want, including being the dad who picks up and drops off at school. I know this isn’t fancy, and there could be a lot more that goes into it – but today – while I sit here and write – that is my nirvana. That is my perfect day that I frame my entire existence around to try to make that a reality.

It works. It helps ground you as you go through life. It put’s your brain on the wavelength to get where you need to go. It’s powerful.

You produce the result that is in your mind.

OK Zach – How do I manifest?

You put the result in your mind.

It is that simple – it really is. But people don’t believe it – so they doubt it – and they wonder why this whose belief system doesn’t work. It only works if you do!

But I still get asked time and time again, how do I do it? How do I manifest?

Here are some real-world examples over the past month that I have done personally:

  1. Mothers Day Padre Game. My family decided to go to a baseball game for mothers. Our local MLB team had a Sunday afternoon game, so we all committed to going. Family of 4, plus some drinks, hot dogs, etc, I knew this day would cost me about $150, even with cheap seats. Sure – we have the money to just pay and go – but where is the fun in that. It was time to manifest it. So I put the thought in my mind, that this padre game is taken care of, committed to go, and told the universe to make it happen. I have had some stuff online I am selling for a few months, with no biters. And wouldn’t you know it – the week before the game, I sold golf clubs and a garden blower, netting a total of $170. Baseball game here we come!!
  2. Big Bear Weekend Getaway. My family wanted to go to Big Bear (local mountain) over the upcoming 3 day weekend. We decided to make it a 4 day weekend, and take Friday off to head up there. We looked up cabins, and since my inlaws are also going, we would need a 4 bedroom cabin to fit everyone. We found one, and the total bill was right under $1000. Sure, we could put it on the credit card – but where is the fun in that? So again, I put it out to the universe, but the thoughts of acquiring the trip to big bear, and let the universe do its thing. And wouldn’t you know it – bonus at work of $1400 means the trip is paid for, plus some cash for the weekend.
  3. Best Dad Award. I have been fighting a little fatigue lately, not sure why. Around 2p, I’d just lose it. Cant’ stay awake, can’t focus, makes it hard to be a good dad and husband. And at the end of the day, that is the only thing I want to be. So I decided to let the universe help me, and for a few days, I meditated on what I want to be, bringing that thought to the fully conscious mind. I saw myself, full of energy morning noon and night. Coming home from work, and playing with the kids. Having the energy to cook dinner, put kids to bed, and do the dishes, so my wife didn’t have to. The kind of dad and husband that most people can’t. I saw myself, felt those emotions. This past week, after I finished doing the dishes, my wife told me that I should win the best dad award for everything I was doing. Not in it for the award, but made me think about what I wanted to be, and wouldn’t you know it – I was being everything I meditated on and didn’t even know it.

This are just 3 examples in the recent past for me. You can have these too! Here are the steps to manifest anything you want.

how do i manifestHOW DO I MANIFEST:

  1. Know what you want. Simple first step – but if you don’t desire anything to manifest, what – really then – will you manifest?
  2. Put yourself in a state to feel the emotion of that item – as if it was already present in your life. This part is tricky but is key. This raises your vibrations on the item that you want.
  3. Surrender. Once you put your mind on something and get yourself into a state of the emotion of the item, surrender to the universe. Know it will take care of you and whatever you desire is coming your way.
  4. Repeat starting in step 1 as often as possible in your life.

We live in a complex world. I know people who do things solely for an Instagram post. Seriously – they will order food because it will look good and get likes than actually taste good. LIFE IS BIGGER THAN INSTAGRAM.

You have to treat life as life. Not a fake life. Not a falsehood to get people to perceive you a specific way, so you can perceive yourself the other way. This message of appearing like you have something, but in your mind your really don’t it, confuses your brain and doesn’t allow the universe to grab hold of the person you really want to be because it is constantly struggling to find that person.

I heard a coach of mine in highschool say something that has always stuck with me:

“Those that talk about it – don’t have it”.

If someone is constantly bragging about things they have, there is a great chance they are over compensating for their inadequacy in that certain aspect of their life.

People that discuss all the money that have – probably don’t have any.

People that brag about working out all the time – probably sit on the couch and watch the real housewives for way too many hours.

People that brag about having a great relationship, probably are miserable when they get home from work.

People that talk about their ability to control their alcohol, probably has no control over it 

Now – this isn’t the case 100%, but I’d say 99.99% of the time. Why? Because those that have, have – and those that don’t – don’t.

Those that have something are confident in that thing they have. They are use to it. It is nothing out of the ordinary to have something. And because it is nothing special, there is no reason to brag about it.

This is true in every possible way of your life: Your health, fitness, money, relationships, work life, etc. There are those that walk around the world, trying to make themselves feel better about what they are trying to make their appearance seem like. Look around you. Listen around you. Watch what someone is totally enamored over trying to make them see like they have something. There is an excellent chance they don’t. Don’t let this be you. Own who you are, and let that be enough!

Let’s do a few examples to let you know what I mean. 

Example #1: Eating Habits

I know someone who is a Vegan. She is the Vegan’s vegan. She became a vegan due to health problems and it just became her lifestyle. She goes to restaurants, she just eats. She know her diet and she just goes about it. She doesn’t say something and they say “well – since I am vegan, I have to order this way”. Vegan-ism is to her lifestyle as breathing is. Now – I know someone who is also a Vegan – that eats whatever they want. They will eat anything and everything, unless they have a chance to bring up the fact they are vegan. “Oh sorry – I can’t eat that I am vegan” instead of a simple – no thank you. Pictures on FB – “check out my vegan fridge”. This isn’t a lifestyle. This is a talking point. This is a “hey everyone – I really don’t want to put int he work, but really want to make it seem like I am doing something” way of life.

Example #2: Fitness

Here is a fun one. There are those in the world that work out every single day. Some in the gym, some go for runs, other make just do a hike. Again – they don’t do anything but what they do. Then we get those who say they are avid runners, gym goers and other athletic feats of amazing. The throw in workouts into apps life MyFitnessPal or Nike+ like they are getting ready for the olympics. They feel awesome about themselves when they see they burned 184 calories taking a shower. They make sure their social media outlets are aware of the workouts they are doing. Yet – for some odd reason – they never actually get in shape… 

Example #3: Small Business

I know people who run small business in their spare time. They work and work and work and do it for themselves. They don’t talk to people about it, unless they know it can net a new deal. They don’t post it on facebook. Hell – they don’t even have business cards! They simple put in the work to net whatever it is they journey after in the realm of business. I know other people who run a small business, but are more driven by the appearance of running the business than the actually business. The make sure you know that they can’t do something because they are running a business. They spend more time on business cards than they do growing their own business. They are more excited about the appearance of running a business than the actually running of a business. 

Example #4: Money

This one is a great one, because most everyone makes some sort of money in some sort of capacity and the range is amazing! Humans always want to be the best of the best at something – that is human nature. So people sometimes compare themselves to money – and that causes them to use talking points quite a bit. There are people out that that have money. They make good money, they are great at savings, they have nice retirement accounts, the have a nice little cushion, and they don’t talk a damn dime to people. Their money is their money. Then there are those who talk about money ALL THE TIME. They tell you about their new job and immediately follow up by the pay scale – and if the scale isn’t up to par, they make sure to tell you. There are people that ask you after you get a promotion if you got a pay raise, just so they can compare it to where you are at there they are at. Then there is my favorite – those that live behind “THINGS” to give the appearance of a different life. People who buy the biggest cars, with the biggest rims, try to have the biggest house, all to be sure they have the biggest life so others can look at them and say “WOW”.

Lifestyle or Talking Points? 

Those that don’t talk about something have that thing as part of their lifestyle. It is integrated in every single part of their life on a daily basis. It is as normal to them as breathing. You don’t hear someone bragging to you that they are breathing, do you? Those that talk about something frivolously, it is just that: a talking point. Something that they can use to make themselves feel better. It is a temporary fix.

Make your life about your lifestyle. Find out the person you want to be, the life you want to have, and how YOU want to live – NO ONE ELSE. And go live that life. Write down your mission statement, return to your mission statement multiple times a day, and live life on your terms.

Look – life is short. Don’t waste your time on talking points.

Let’s face it: being positive is more fun.

Sure, being positive let’s you see the light in a positive world, which means you spread more light, more love, and higher vibrations across the world.

But being positive is also just more fun. Pure and simple.

Think about – how much fun is being negative? I say none. Zilch. Nada. ZERO.

Because it isn’t. I’ve tried.

I tried getting people to feel sorry for me because I lost everything in a fire. Because I had no money. Because I hated my job. Because I worked to much. Because I was overweight. Because I had no direction in my life. Because BLAH BLAH BLAH.

And then I turned positive – and my world changed.

And yours can too!

And how you do it is very simple: BE POSITIVE.

Yes – it is just that simple. All you have to do to be positive in your life is be positive. Same as everything else you do in life.

Shhhhhh….. do you hear that? Here come the boos from the cheap seats:

But Zach – it isn’t as simple as “just being positive”. You can’t just wake up and be positive.

Yes. Yes you can. I do. My wife does. The best people I know do. And although I wasn’t always that way – I do now.

But I do agree it is hard to change. But there is one easy law of the universe that allows you to do this. Please go read Law Of Polarity and come back.

TL/DR: The law of polarity states that everything has an opposite – a polar opposite. And I will give you one guess as to what the opposite of positive is…

NEGATIVE.

The opposite of postivie is negative.

Therefore, if you want to be positive, you have to not be negative.

I KNOW!! Simple right?

But let’s take this deeper…

How does one stop being stop being negative?

You remove the negativity around you. ALL OF IT. COMPLETELY.

No more negativity. Act as if it doesn’t exist. Remove the negative feelings you have in your life. The negative people. The negative thoughts. The negative emotions.

They aren’t serving you. They are literally doing NOTHING for your life, so what are they there? Why are you dealing with it?

Remember, everything has an opposite, so for everything that is not serving you, there is an opposite that CAN serve you, and it is all on the side of positivity.

And here comes the news that is tough to hear: This means cutting things/people/jobs/obsessions/addictions out of our your life that aren’t serving you.

I know this hurts to hear and I know your reactions. They were the same as mine:

-But what will my happy hour buddies think? Who will they complain to about their shitty marriage?

-But what will that girl I work with think? Who will she complain to about her love life?

-But what will my job think? Who will they get to sit pissed off in a cubicle?

-But what will I watch instead of trash TV and news? How will I know all the shit that goes on in the world?

See what I did there? All the things that are negative in your life is effecting YOUR positivity. They are influencing you be having all that negativity flood your head, your thoughts, and therefore you life.

Turn it off. Tune it out. Leave it be. Put more positivity into your life.

I go on three 20 min walks a day listening to podcasts and ebooks on motivation, law of attraction, inspiration, and other things to put positivity into my life, instead of browsing Facebook to see the things the opposite side of my political affiliation are f*cking up next, or listening to the office gossip and negativity, or anything else that could mess up my vibes.

You have got to change your situation to change your situation. If you constantly continue to let the negativity come into your life, it gets real hard real fast to flip the script of positivity.

Focus on being more positivity into your life. Find that podcast, take that half-glass-full-all-the-time-it-is-obnoxious person to lunch and ask what their secret is, stop hanging out with that friend, break up with that boyfriend, divorce that wife – THIS IS THAT IMPORTANT.

At the end of YOUR life, all you have is YOUR life. Not the news on TV life. Not your job life. Not your boyfriend life. Not your wife life. YOUR life. That things YOU did. The decisions YOU made. The moments YOU had. The memories YOU make.

And being positive makes all those better.

So make a conscious effort in the future to remove the negative, and bring in more positivity into your life. Your life will change – I can promise you.

Law of AttractionIt’s no secret that The Secret changed my life. Way back when that book was first released, I saw an Oprah episode on the book and how people where getting whatever they wanted out of their life because of that book. Years later, I realize that book is pretty far out there in the concepts, but the main subject of what you think about dictates your life is the truest topic I have ever read about. This post is about Law of Attraction and how you can use it to push your life forward.

There are more books out there on the subject of your thoughts control your life and better ones that The Secret. And this topic is one of them most powerful theories I have ever put into practice in my own personal life.

What goes into your mind comes out in your life. If you don’t think this is true, you are missing a HUGE chance in your life to complete gain whatever it is that you want. Your thoughts, the thoughts that you think on a daily basis are ultimately the actions that dictate your life. It is so important that I am going to give it it’s own line:

Law of Attraction

Now, there is a lot of misconceptions about this theory and the Law of Attraction and how you can manifest things into your life. There is always that smart ass that says something to the effect of….

“Well my aunt’s cousin’s sister’s dog died. Did she manifest that?

Or my favorite…

I have been thinking of a million dollars for my whole life and I don’t have it yet.

That isn’t what the Law of Attraction is, even though that is what The Secret preaches, which is one of the many reasons that book isn’t a good one to base this theory on, although it is a great starting point.

Law of AttractionThe Law Of Attraction isn’t thinking that you are going to make a million dollars and one day magically have a bag of cash appear on your front door. It is a theory on making sure your thoughts and actions are million dollar actions. You can’t have minimum wage actions thinking that you will make a million dollars. If you want to make a million dollars you need to make million dollar actions. The only way you will ever make million dollar actions if the thoughts going through your head are million dollar actions thoughts.

Once I read The Secret and other books on this subject I really started monitoring the thoughts that go into my mind. When you want something, you need to work to get it. But you have to know what you want, and you have to be willing to go get it. The thought of making a million dollars is fine, but if your thoughts are minimum wage thoughts, you will never have a million dollars.

That is what the Law Of Attraction really is. When you want something, you feel like you have. You can feel the lifestyle. You start acting like you already have the thing that you want. Your thoughts then change your actions. Your actions then change your input. Your new input then changes your new output and VOILA – you get what you want.

Yes, it really is that easy to live the life that you want but you have got to watching your thoughts. Your thoughts are the single most important thing that controls your life because your thoughts control you. But the great news is that you can control your thoughts so you can change them if you don’t like them.

What Goes Into Your Mind Comes Out In Your Life

Law of AttractionJack Canfield tells a story about the Law Of Attraction in his own life. He made a goal to sell some ungodly amount of his books that he had. He didn’t know how, but he started putting the right thoughts into his head. He say a magazine and made a connection there, and from there, it spiraled to make him the success that he is today. Did he actually manifest the success? No – but he did put the thoughts in his mind to make the success possible. If he wanted to sell those books then went and played Call of Duty for 3 hours a day, ya think he would be where he is at now?

Here is some examples in my own life:

I first got started on the Law of Attraction back in 2005. Down on my luck, searching for answers I found the Secret. My life has never been the same.

In 2011, I started a new job. Like anything and everything new, change wasn’t the easiest. New people to get use to, new line of work, new commute when I had none before, a lot was changing. Instead of looking forward and accepting the change as something great, I got stressed out. Just a little bit at first. But over the next year, my stress out and chaotic thoughts seemed to spiral my life and felt I had a completely off year. About 10 months later, I started having full blow anxiety attacks driving home from the office. I never changed my stressful mind and my life just got more and more stressful. I changed departments to something that created less stress and literally instantly, my life turned around. My thoughts changed from stressful to positive and fruitful and my life soared.

In 2013, my life was still cruising along and was the best it has ever been. Then, one harsh August day, my mindset instantly switch to negative and turned my life right around again. My wife and I had a miscarriage with our first pregnancy. More than anything else that has ever happen to me in my life, this one hurt the worst. The next 3 months of my life was hell, all because my thoughts were negative and hateful and they were reflecting in my life. I left as if things where falling around me. I missed a promotion at work, my wife missed a job opportunity due to a “HR error”, I had the worst stretch of business travel I ever had with an array of missed and cancelled flight, even had to cancel a weekend to get away with my wife because I got stuck in a city. It took a mentor of mind to shake me loose and put my life back into perspective to shake me loose before it started even getting better. My thoughts switch, and again – literally instantly – my life turned around and started climbing again.

Did I manifest a stressful job? Did I manifest anxiety attacks? Did I manifest a miscarriage? Did I manifest cancelled flights?

No.

Did my thoughts control my life so my negative mindset made these problems even larger in my life then they are, causing me to spiral further and cause more negative thoughts?

Yes.

You don’t actually manifest anything in your life. Your thoughts dictate your actions and your actions cause things in your life. It is your actions that physically bring stuff in and out of your life. But it is your THOUGHTS that dictate your actions. If I was in a different mindset and my flight got cancelled, I could brush it off and say “oh well, chance to see a new town” instead of thinking the world is conspiring to make my life worse.

You Cannot Have A Million Dollar Life With A Minimum Wage Attitude

That is what the Law Of Attraction is really about. Your thoughts will control your life. If you want a million dollars, you need to change your thoughts to million dollar thoughts. You need to have positive thoughts all the time in order to have a positive life. You can’t think your life will be everything you dreamed about if you walk around pissed off that you don’t have everthing you dreamed about.

Control your thoughts, control your life.

Your life is the sum of your choices – your decisions.

You are where you are at because of you.

Not me.

Not mommy or daddy.

Not your boss.

YOU.

You reap what you sow.

reap what you sowYou get out of life what you put in. If you go around blaming other people and playing the victim, you are going to be a victim your entire life. You are never going to dig your way out of whatever predicament you think you are in with that mindset. You have to Reap What You Sow.

Because you are the reason for you – guess what? You can change yourself. You can decide that your choices – your decisions are going to be different. You can start putting in different things to get out different things.

Yes – it will be uncomfortable.

Yes – it will be hard work.

Yes – it will change your life.

The choice is up to you. I can’t do it for you. I can help be the catalyst for the change, but you yourself need to make the decision to change what you are doing.

It only takes an instant to change your mindset. That split second when you make that decision 100% and know you are never moving back. Not a half ass decision – that will produce a half ass result. A fully committed, 100% decision. The second you do that – your life changes. Good or bad – you can decide – but your life will change.

For me personally, I work hard every single day to make sure that whatever is going into my life, in to my brain, into my decisions, is positive. I have cut negative people out of my life. I have cut negative language out of my life. And my life has never been the same.

I changed the input – and the output changed. I got out of life what I put into. I reaped what I sowed.

Use whatever motivational language you want – I am telling you that if you want to make positive changes, you need to make positive decisions. Reap What You Sow.
